Going from 24 volt to 36 volt?

What is the best way to do this? What parts am I going to need? Other than a trolling motor.

You will need one more jumper wire and a 50 amp inline breaker. Just did the same thing….it is awesome.ElwoodElwood…..Bass Cat Proud

If you have an adequate Cranking Battery as BCB has suggested in their recommendations, then you should be fine. BCB has suggested large AGM batteries as cranking for years now and if you have one your fine with three on this rig. I have mine on 3 batteries seperate from my starting battery. I just dont like the thought of a dead starting battery.

I just did this and used just three batteries. I have three 31 Series Optimas and have never had a problem. I fish heavy grass and stll no problems with just three batteries. If you buy a Minn Koya it comes with a jumper with a 50 amp breaker

Your cranking battery is used for live well pumps, lights, and other accessories as well as starting the big engine. If you use these a lot in your normal fishing experience, get the additional battery for the trolling motor. Also battery life depends on cycles… the deeper you discharge before charging the less the life. This is another reason to have the additional battery! Make your decision based on your individual application and boat use.

I thought about getting 3 of the recommended batteries and not adding a fourth. If that is the case will I be fine in most situations?

Im running three batteries, Trojan SCS200s, in my Pantera 2 with a Tour Edition 109 Digital and have no problems running all day. I have an EFI and I do know that you can crank an EFI on a weeker battery that a DFI motor. My fishing partner has a Tour Edition 82 on his Pantera 3 and runs an AMG cranking battery due to running an Optimax. We can both fish all day and not have any problems.Mike
