Definitely a drivers boat, the standard Cougar was a lighter boat than the Jaguar of that time.Dont worry about how fast it will go now as it sounds like you just got it recently. That animal will take a lot of seat time to get maximum performance, in other words, do not drive past your capability, expect a learning curve and take your time. When all is said and done, if the boat/engine are in great shape, AND if you have developed the driving skill on that type of boat, then you should possibly see ……..well, you will be surprised at how many gas stations you visit and how often.Mid range operation will help with fuel usage as well.96 Eyra/12 Mercury 175 Pro XS with 2015 single axle trailer2017 Victory Gunner
