Got Out On The Eyra Yesterday

Before and after the Falcons game. I went up to BR200s to try to catch a few spotted bass. It was a cool 49 degrees at 7:00 AM and I left my Guidewear jacket at home. So, no long boat rides at daylight.I caught a few nice spots but I needed my guide (200) and he was not there yet. With the awesome mountain scenery up there it doesnt matter if you dont catch a lot of fish. It was a mountain day yesterday….very clear.

The older I get, the more I enjoy the scenery. I still love to catch fish, but I have learned to slow down and enjoy all that God has given us. I always have a camera with me and have lots of pics of lily pads, hyacinths, birds, sunrises and sunsets, and even the occasional pic of a fish. Hahaha. That does look like some beautiful territory you have up there. I have talked about the N. Ga and western NC mountain scenery to BR200 and all his buds. I asked them if it as awesome to them as it is to me. Maybe it is a good thing when 20 somethings agree that it most definitely is and they say it never gets old. I know I have always appreciated it, even as a youngster.The amazing part is how it is always changing…it could be cloudy and foggy like yesterday due to the cool weather, or clear as it got in the afternoon.Maybe when I go back, I can get a good picture of the valley where 200s school is.I took him to visitation at Young Harris when he was a high school senior. We know several people that had went to school there and really liked it. Visitation was in January and they had just had a good snowfall. I think the scenery helped his decision. Driving by this awesome lake to get there also helped.

maybe i missed it but,What pond is that??reminds me of my old home waters of lake cumberland & dale hollow GODs countrySwatt who has your old Eyra?
