I have searched, and cannot find any help on this. I am adding the grab pole and step to my trailer, and it came with no instructions. I have a few questions for those that added this themselves. Would it be best to just have it welded as, I see a gap from mock up on trailer, and maybe the screws will pull it together? How the heck does this step attach to the brace? I have the little machine screws that came with the step, but have no clue where they go. Thanks in advance for your help, I’m sure I’ll have more questions as I try to install this. My boat is a 2006 PIV, if any of that matters.

I recently installed one on my trailer and the bolts will pull it together once installed. The step you will need to countersink the screws and then bolt them on. Another option is to use an adhesive, but it gets weak you could lose the step going down the road.

As for the step, as mentioned above, countersink the screw in the glass. Use the adhesive when tightening it down. This will eliminate vibration. The nonskid will cover the screws. Hopefully someone can get pics on here for screw locations. I would but I’m currently in Africa. Lol!

The pole is bolted thru the trailer. Use good drill bits. Use tape around the bits to keep from shoving thru to fast and catching trailer wires.

We use a wooden spacer to hold the wires down when drilling. Then the bolts should have come with the step for mounting. The holes are drilled on the part for alignment.
