Must be that time of year but at least I have the time to fix these things.

Graph at console (Humminbird Solix DI/SI 9″) is not reading depth. Sonar, down imaging, and side imaging are all not reading. Water temp and speed are both working. A while back I did hit a stump that bent the transducer bracket and broke a small piece of the transducer off. Yesterday I took the graph off of the bow (Humminbird Solix DI 9″) and connected it to the cable for the console graph and I got the same results…no depth, sonar, or down imaging. My initial thought is to replace transducer. Does this sound right or am I missing something else?

You are probably correct. There is a way to verify. You have to access the Y cable under the dash. Unhook both connections to it (one is the 2d glassed in transducer and the other is for SI/DI from the transom transducer) and then unplug the Y cable from the back of the unit. Now plug the 2d transducer directly into the head unit. You should now have functional 2d from the glassed in ducer. You can idle around to find out. You may have to change the setting on the head unit to dual frequency 83/200. You can do the work at home and then water test.

Of course, the assumption here is that you have a set up that uses a Y cable.

If both of your head unit are doing the same, then you are likely on target.

Preliminary research indicates that the solix unit utilizes the “y” cable configuration. Since depth readings as well ST an DI are not functioning I would put my money on a defective “Y” cable or a connection issue where the “Y” cable hooks up to the conventional and SI/DI transducers.

I had a brain cramp this morning when I posted this saying I had the Solix series. I do not. I have the Helix series. I assume the answer is still the same tho. I am going to try the transducer route first. As I mentioned earlier the current transducer is cracked and now that I swapped them out with the same results it makes me think the transducer is the culprit. I will post the results when done.
