graph problems

We suspect the units to be cross talking to each other. Try turning off the dash unit when you use the front and that will identify if this is the source or not? Then we will work on it differently, though cross talking sometimes can not be fixed on dual units close together as the transducer signals are overlapping in deeper water. They have a 20 degree cone angle, and 10 degrees per side and will have that 20 degree window for the cones total use. BCB

I did try turning off the console unit and that fixed the problem for about twenty minutes, then the front unit started messing up even worse. And the console unit was still off.

It sounds like a faulty HumminBird unit possibly. If it continues, we are glad to help out. Just visit your BCB Dealer and the “Birds” on a new Bass Cat have a 2 year warranty if we installed them originally. We will handle that warranty also. BCB

Thank you. I will see what it does next time. I will find out if yall installed it or a dealer. The guy I bought the boat from actually bought a tournament won certificate from another guy. But the guy that bought the certificate just went ahead and ordered the boat from yall with several upgrades that way he could sell it. He did have it shipped to a buddy of his that is a Mercury dealer. If the graph continues to mess us I will contact him to see if he ordered the boat with the units on it. I can carry the boat to Duncan Marine. I live close to them and they are Basscat and Humminbird dealers. Thanks again for the replies.

I just bought a 08 Sabre about a month ago. I went fishing yesterday and my front depthfinder started acting crazy. It is a Humminbird 717. When I first turned it on it would not show a steady depth. The depth number was constantly bouncing around by a couple of feet and the temperature number was flashing. Although I have not had any problems earlier running both graphs at one time, I turned off my console unit just to see what would happen. The unit on the front started working for a little while but then I looked down and the depth was on 1ft and the temp reading was 20 degrees. I turned it off and back on but it showed the same reading. There is no transducer on the trolling motor so I am assuming it is mounted in the center of the boat. Is that correct? My console unit is the same type of unit, a 717, but it was working fine. Any ideas of what to look for? Any help would be appreciated. Nothing more aggravating then having problems out of something brand new.

Man…..nvr seen that error message before and have the same units bow and dash. Thought I had seen it all bc I got them when they were brand new and still had some issues w/ them. Sorry. I will ask around though.

I have one on the dash, no problems. Id be interested in finding out what the deal is though. I have a navionicis chip and have also loaded the boatlanes downloads without any issues. Sorry I cant help, but want to know what your find. FYI, http://www.lowrance.com has always answered any and all my questions. If it were me, Id call or email them.

The reset is on the Lowrance site. Try the reset first. LOZman
