Who all has linked humminbird helix units looking to upgrade and trying to decide if I want to network a helix 7 to a 859 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We dont know that the older and newer software links, though Helix is a later generation of Core series. If your 7 unit is a network unit it is worth a shot.
I did this on a customers boat last week.. Added a new Helix 7 SI G2N at the console and it did link up with his 858 or 859 DI (cant remember which)on the bow at least when I hit mark waypoint it shared the waypoint to the bow unit..
I am changing from Lowrance to the Helix 7s. Havent done it yet due to I need to get the transducer shields for TM and the Jackplate. Am putting a 7 Si on console and 7Di on bow
