Is the gray wire inside of the break away tongue for the brakes? Mine got in a bind against the 4/5 way plug inside of the tongue and now has a flat spot in the wiring. Trying to see if I need to get this replaced.
IF that large fiber coated part is what you are calling a wire, then yes it is a hose and you have compromised its integrity, if it is not also closed off and restricted.
