The GAF II was a great weekend of fishing, football, and food ! What a host we had in Luke Difulco, and his family and friends, they are super folks and we really appreciate the hospitality afforded us by these great friends. We had quite a diverse crowd, from Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, for sure, and somes heritage may be in question ! The fishing was o.k., as the river was a little low, and most teams adjusted to the conditions and caught some fish. The Rush/Watts team seemed to have the heaviest bag(best 5) with around 15.5 lbs, second was Swann/Swann with around 13lbs, and Addison/Gould came in third with over 11 lbs. ! The fishing during the event was secondary to the fellowship, and the atmosphere was perfect for the gathering ! Judds new FTD is the bomb ! With all the right colors represented ! His new truck aint bad either, but wont run over 55mph ???? Anyway, there were some beautiful rigs there, and P.A. ran them all ! He was just trying to see if anyone could outrun his boat ! I hope everyone made the trip home o.k., and cant wait for the next gathering. I absolutely had a BLAST. I always enjoy hanging out with yall. Fishing wasnt bad and the camaraderie was AWESOME!!!! The accommodations and food were great too. You couldnt ask for a better weekend with my BCB friends! Wish more couldve attended (cough, cough Shap…just kidding man but you were missed) but it was fun. Drive over 55… We both know who had the flat…coincidence? I think not, probably driving styles. Now we have the OI to look forward too! Thanks to all that made this one possible which is Dougs list above. A special thanks to Luke and Doug, yall did a great job organizing and hosting this thing! Judd Lasiter
I really think all had good times–For Robin (the LSU trailer fan) and PA(the Rayburn Guide–H.A.R. fan) they wouldve had more fun if the game ended at the end of the third quarter. I can only speak for myself, Randy,Hog, Klumpp and Andy—we had a bonaka blast-as Judd knows. We may not have caught all the fish this year–but we sure jammed while traveling up and down Bayou Pierre-and on the river. Sure am lonley today–feel like Im having basscat buddy blues—-Glad to hear all have made it home safe and really enjoyed all this weekend. This bunch of guys are really special and great to be with. I promise to pull mine out of the barn next time. Lad
By the way Judd, Was that a Trophy, or a Tempest on your new boat ????
Tempest is on back order so I really didnt have a choice…I will say this new hull and trailer design does make a difference, I dont care what anyone says. I have yet to back it in a “little” further because I didnt hit that 4″ window for the trailer. I will try the Tempest when it gets in, dont you worry. Judd
Judd, can we see some pictures of the new FTD? Or did you already post them and I have early mental loss setting in. Chris Coupel Paulina, La.Chris CoupelPaulina, La.

Guess I need to put my 2 cents in on this GAF get together and the fishing. First let me start by giving a very big THANKS to Luke. What a very beautful place he has on the Cane River. Not sure what I expected but it sure wasnt what Sam and I saw when we drover up. It is a very pretty place that was also very quiet and peiceful. Sets right in the middle of a big Pecan Orchard. We all owe you a big thanks for letting us get together and share the good times, friendship and of course the fishing. Your place and Hospitality was 2nd to none. The fishing is also something I did not expect. Have been reading about and have friends that have fished the Red. Pretty much had heard what a tough fishery it is. Not sure weather Sam and I are just a lucky team or what but we averaged about 30 to 35 fish caught a day. That was fishing until about 3:00 PM every day. We caught fish on plastics, crank baits, flukes, top water baits and jigs with our best 2 baits being the plastics and jigs. The day of the tournament we caught about 35 to 40 fish and if we have a perfect day. We catch 18 to 20 pounds of fish. We both hooked and lost a couple very good fish but all in all had a very good day and good time fishing the Red River. Shap, sorry you could not attend. Was looking forward to finially getting the chance to meet you. Hopefully you, every body else and even a few more can make it next year. Had a very good time. The fellowship, food and fishing was 2nd to none. Not sure I ate my weight but also wanted to say Thanks to Sam, the Basketman and everybody else that cooked and provided the food. I will also send Judd some pics so that he can load onto the sight for everybody to see. Took pictures of all the boats. Their were sure some pretty ones and hope everybody enjoys. Thanks Again Joey Watts
