Guys, I retired from tournament fishing years ago and fish strictly for enjoyment now. Dardanelle is my home lake and I enjoy it year round.Last week I went to Greers Ferry for three days hoping for some Hybrid action. I have fished there every year for 30 years or so and love the lake. Well the hybrids were not to found by me and my son so we fished for bass. We caught some nice smallmoth and Kentuckies. We caught about 40 largemouth also. None over 2.5 lbs. Most of them were banged up with sores or wounds on them. Not healthy at all compared to Dardanelle fish.Looking at tournament results 3 + pound largemouth are rare.What is the deal? What is going on with this population?
