In light of the O.I. cancellation, I decided to make the most of the pre-planned week and booked a full week in Guntersville. Hope the fishing is on down there! Any locals want to give me a heads up and a few pointers, I am all ears!!! Leave Tueday morning….this will be my fourth trip down there.

Deep Structure

Tr – Browns Creek is set up perfect for deep water action / they should be all over a Carolina rig rt now on all those humps b4 you get to the bridge in the back. A big spook , and swim a worm with 1/4 – 3/8 ounce wt around those humps also. You should have a ball ………have fun !

Fish guntersville every weekend. I would put in at Seibold and fish it and the mountain lakes resort area. Shad are spawning good right now and swim bait and spinnerbaits will get you bit early. Fish are starting to move out towards the mouths of the creeks on the creek channel ledges which you can throw deep cranks and football head jigs. You can catch fish right now from 1 to 20 feet right now. Milfoil in places is right under the surface but the Hydrilla is behind because of the heavy rain and current unless you go up river above Scottsboro.
