Guntersville Lodging

All,I know the Bassmaster Weekend Series championship is down on Guntersville this time, so I was looking at the map trying to figure out where a good hotel would be thats close to the landing, but I dont see a whole lot.Can anyone suggest any decent lodging for Guntersville near the state park? Ive never been to Guntersville before and would like to stay at a hotel or rent a house/cabin that is in a good part of town.Any suggestions?CB2

1. Guntersville state park has a hotel and or cabins and camping avaialable2. Val-Monte Hotel, located on the water just south of the state park- you can keep you boat in the water here as well with electrical hook ups3. Days Inn is just around the corner from the val monte right off HWY 431.

This is a tough one. Guntersville State Park has excellent lodging for a group and is just up river from Guntersville, though the State Park is the only lodging there and the drive to town is a few miles. Most fish the Sauty (North/South) and areas around State Park to Goose Pond so you within reach of Pine Island and more. Some practice out of Scottsboro as its handy for a few days and lodging is plentiful. The SEBCOG event was held out of Val Monte, once Macs Landing, though it is located in Spring Creek and Guntersville proper. It is handy for the south end of Honey, Spring and Browns areas. The pier walk to your boat in the morning is very easy unless it rains then you can opt to put your boat in the dock and either is only a walk. Though again it is a few miles up river to Goose Pond and a drive to the State Park. The State Park facilities are nice, though just a fidget remote.Guntersville proper has all sorts of accommodations. So now you have some things to think about.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn and I was pleased it had its own launch security all night in the parking lot and a bar/club in the basement to unwind after fishing.

We had Sebog there and it was very convinient. Rooms had New beds and Linenes, Can leave boat on the water or launch at there ramp at marina. You can stay lakeside or Mountain Side. They have a couple resturants very close. You can run to launch from the water in Morning but its a little bit of a run to state park. If you plan on practicing on lower end very convinent. Good luck at tourny

Sorry, I dont ever hit the “C” button its to far down the keyboard. I may have one the money but I sure didnt have a bunch of chicks in my boat, nor did I get it broke in by the “BAND”. Ill trade ya my share for your lucky steering wheel and Butt seat. I guess its a good thing there arent any letters in #1 cause otherwise I would be 2nd. In the words of the Famous race car driver “If you aint first, your last”. J/k Kelly I know where I get it my parents couldnt spell my name right either. Cant wait for the next SEBCOG.

Yeah, I hate we didnt get any pictures of “the band”Guess she should have rubbed some good luck on me and not the boat, although my wife would probably/ definitely disagree.britt
