As of tomorrow; I am officially on welfare – retiring after 50 years as an engineer. Looking forward to fishing more.JWTPSAll you guys still working keep doing so to pay for my SS checks – till the pres takes that too.

JWT,As much as I enjoy what I do as an engineer, I can still see why youd be more than happy to put down the calculator and go fishing. I hope there is some sort of retirement left when I get ready to retire in 20+ years!I hope you enjoy a long long retirement! Go catchm all!

Congratulations JW. Been retired a little over two years and you know what, it does not suck. Be prepared to be busier then you expected but you are on your own schedule and thats the best thing in the world. Congrats also. For me I have been retired one year and its great, second only to being a new (2006 Classic) owner. Life begins when the kids move out and the dog dies. Oh what day is this. lol
