Hard starting motor

Help…..My 94 Mariner is difficult to get restarted after 2-3 moves when the air / motor temp goes up. End up waiting 2 hrs+/- before it would turn over last time out.

Sounds not good, I would compression check

You could have many different things happening, from flooding, to battery , to electrical, to ???,,,,,,,, Point is, take it to a good mechanic and let him determine the issue ! Cant be done on the board with this amount of information !

Thanks for the help. I know its not the battery. The starter engages and almost cranks on the initial try. If I can get to the nuetral button and get the rpms up it will keep running, usually smoking moe than normal from the excessive fuel/oil mixture buildup in the cylinder. If it doesnt start on the fist try, I usually wait another 15-20 minutes & try again till I can get it running.Will try the compression check to see if I can narrow a potential cause before I take it in
