Hey guys Im having a hard time selling my 99 Jaguar. Boat is posted in for sale forum. I know the time of year isnt helping much at all. But just curious as to am I not priced right? Boat has a ton of extras that come with and set up properly and up to date. I cant take a beating on it as I have a ton of money in on updates. Any help or suggestions much appreciated…. Thanks all, Jay
A 1999 Jaguar should move rather easily at any time of year as that model is in a high demand category.
Nice rig, should sell in the next few months or so, try listing it here. I have had good luck with these two web sites.http://www.wmi.org/bassfish/index.htmlhttp://texasfishingforum.com/forums/ubbthreads.php
PitBull- I am not sure as to why either, that is one fine looking Jag, i didnt expect to see it for sale this long either, if i was in that market for a used 20 footer in tat price range i would be all over it. Let the weather warm up a bit and once those people get the itch to get out on the ponds, it shouldnt take long to sell. I feel your priced pretty right for that rig.
Jay, I sold my 225 Opt. 02 Jag 2 years ago, I live up in the frozen north as well. I discounted mine (sold at 16,500) so I wouldnt have to travel to sell it, I had put new seats in mine, a 101 fortrex, as well as Hbird sideimaging. Personally I think you are still a little high for the general buyer, when you find the guy looking for a Jag it will probably sell. I think some are still nervous about the wood in the pre all composite boats and the 99 225 Optimax. I have always figured you just eat the upgrades when you sell. Yours is a beautiful boat, I would buy another Jag in a second. I would also pay the few bucks to post it over on bassboatcentral.com, then link the ad on the basscat forum on bbc, theres always guys looking for Cats over there.Last edited by mike dominick on January 30th, 2012, 7:39 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Thanks guys appreciate the feed back and comments… Really hate to sell my rig. looking at a couple newer cougars and pumas would make life alot easier to have this one gone first…

It may help sell it but you wont get the same value you invested in the upgrades. Check the NADA book as well the loan value. You may be a tad high. Nice rig though. You thought about trading to a dealer? This time of year dealers are willing to take trades and you will save on sales tax.
Bama, looking for a 08 to 09 cougar or puma FTD (has to have alil red in it, truck is red lol) W/ 225 or 250 proxs humminbird 997/998 in dash and 957/958 on bow in the 29 to 33k price range. Possible trade in but figured Id try and sell first

They deduct the value of the trade in from the new boat and you just pay tax on the difference? This is new to me, I might want to check into this for Ohio… Last edited by Treg on January 30th, 2012, 11:28 pm, edited 1 time in total.
