The transducer is in the bow of your boat and depending on the model you have and age as to whether or not you can reach it. The front transducer is right in the bow behind where a Hamby would end. These are not replaceable on the in hull install on some models. Thus you have to use a forstener bit to redrill into the stringer through the floor drain on some newer single drain models. The front transducer is usually too far forward, which is where you want it on a fishing install. The older models with two floor drains will be accessible easily and you can install a new one there after removing the older one in a similar method to the one you describe. Now you can figure out which method fits your model. BCB Admin.
