All, Im thinking about flipping my graphs around at the helm. Currently, I have the HDS 9 flush in the dad with the 12 on a ram mount off to the side. Im thinking about swapping them around so there is less weight hanging off the ram mount and my vision around the side graph will improve. Ive seen plenty of HDS 12 flush in the dashes on cats, just wanted to know if there is anything I need to be aware of ahead of time before making the swap? Looks straight forward to me. Thanks, Greg

I put in a Garmin 1040xs on my Eyra, which is a fairly large outer dimension unit. Instead of cutting the console, which would have come really close to the edges, I opted to use a Precision Sonar Mount. Its real sturdy and barely blocks the fuel and trim gauge. Use the template and get it close with an electric saw. Finish it off with a file or Dremel tool. Its not that hard but I would not try to get it perfect with the saw.

I have seen a few flush in the dash and figured it was only a matter of taking your time to get it to fit. If taking your time is really the only cautionary means then Ill do the swap for sure. Im not a fan of putting a plate over the existing HDS 9 hole and using a bracket. Thanks, Greg
