Hds 12 on a Sherms mount

Hi All

my new to me 2014 Puma ftd has an HDS 12 graph at the console that goes slightly higher than the small windshield. The boat was purchased at Sherms marine and appears to be on one of their cool mounts.

my question is can I trailer with cover on the way the graph is or should I take off the graph.

There is not much slack currently with the 4 cables plugged into the graph.

Any one have a similar experience? Thank you… Bob

I trailer with my graph covered and wrap small bungee cords just to be safe. I have 12 Helix on a Sherms mount too and love it.

Whenever you travel with any Helix unit with the rubber cover on-you always need to secure the cover with two small bungee cords. The little ones with the adjustable ball work great. I was able to find black ones at my local Lowes or Home Depot (can’t remember which one of the 2 stores I found them). The black rubber Humminbird covers are not inexpensive!!!
