HDS-8 and LSS-2 Installation – Sabre FTD

After a little detour back to Lowrance for the HDS-8 (dead NMEA port) I was finally able to finish up the installation on my Sabre.HDS mounted at the console, LSS Box in the Starboard rod locker, SS transducer on the SM jackplate. I connected the existing LMS520c with Ethernet to the LSS Box so I could use the existing 200khz transducers bow and stern. NMEA 2000 network connects HDS, 520, 510, and LGC4000 to share GPS and waypoints. Heres the link to the photos. Cant wait to try it out.http://RazorCat.u.yuku.com/album/view/aid/415749

Thanks Flyswatter. It was actually an enjoyable project. Now, I have to put my sweet wife on some crappie this weekend so I can start working an angle to get an 8 for the front.

Thats a great job on the install. Im about to take on a similar project myself on my Sabre. Hope it turns out as good as yours did. Thanks for sharing the pics.
