HDS 9 in dash

I am wondering if anyone has installed an HDS 9 in dash on an 05-10 puma or cougar. If so, could you please post pics or give any advice?Thanks!

HDS 9 will be a tight fit and may require a shim bezel of plastic to raise it over the cosmetic lip to the right.

Im sure it will fit easily, but they end up being partially obstructed by the steering wheel, Ive replaced the indash with a Sherms Marine mount on my last 2 Cats. It gets it out of where you can see it better and puts it where you can pull it easily if you have a problem. Heres my setup with an HDS12, but I also did this when I had an 8 and a 10..

Thanks Mike. After PMing with another member, I decided to go with the Sherms mount as well, for the simple fact that some day I hope to upgrade to a 12 at the console. From what he showed me a 9 could go in the dash, but I would have to cut off any margins that would allow a future cover plate.Thanks guys!ps, awesome set up Mike, you have really good taste!!
