Headed to Lake Erie!

BR200 and I along with a friend of ours are headed to Erie Pa. this weekend for a few days of chasing brown fish! I am liking the weather foecast….highs in the mid-70s, lows near 60. I hope the wind is too bad. BR200 has been really wanting to catch some smalloes. He had a blast last year at the JWC in Syracuse catching them. We have loaded up with drop shot stuff and tubes but BR200 said he will still take his big rig and a few swimbaits! I will post some pictures when I get back. Bob

be careful too u probably hear this 1000 times before u go to erie that lake can go from dead calm to 5 and 6 footers in less than 10 minutes ive had it happen before lol

BR200 caught this one last summer in SC. I live in Ga. but I am only a few miles from SC. We had a National Bassfishing Trail National tournament on Keowee last June but it was off limits so we went to the next lake above it since they are similar lakes. This one weighed 4-12 on the X-Tools.

If Erie is too bad, check out Chautauqua Lake near Jamestown NY. You would have to get another license but is a very good alternative if Erie is blowing too bad. Bill

I wish I knew the secrets!! What I do know is that Erie can get UGLY, Chautaquat can only get ugly…. As the only BassCat owner in the STBM adult club (Les Blue is almost there. though, hope he doesnt fall into the N, R. or bug brand….) I ask that you give me the location of the big bag on Silver! Chautauqua isnt until the 15th so I have some time to pry that info out of you! Bill

Sorry BR400, Dont mean to hijack your post. But everyone wants to see some monster brown fish, so we will try and keep this at the top!!!
