“I made my first and second BassMaster classic in a BASSCAT boat in 1996 and 1997 and fished 11 years of my career out of still today one awsome bass fishing machine!.all because I fished with a very special man on lake Eufaula Alabama/Georgia years before. That was Ron Pierce who fished with me that day when I was a young man, we had a fun fishing day and we both got a check, we hooted and hollered and laughed all day.. it was easy.. we enjoyed that great day together and i remember it as one of my best fishing memories. I soon became a part of the BASSCAT family who are all great individuals that Ron and Jan nurtured and loved so much. I know without a doubt that Ron brought all that with him as he got to know people in his travels. He always made a difference with the young and old! and me! He made a difference with his jolly attitude, his since of humor, his talents and of course his knowledge and wisdom.. A man who I will always respect and love. Ron instilled in me his trust and friendship.. but most of all I observed a man who loved his family and trusted the word of god for all his guidance for his family and others. He new about family and god first! he had a great attitude on life and was always smiling and happy!! he loved his wife Jan pierce, who let me tell you she is rock solid with a strong faith and was there for him no matter what. As husband and wife their actions guided their children and their grandchildren and made good positive impressions on all including myself! I have been honored to have been Ron’s friend! Rest in piece Ron Pierce. I know this sounds very personal because it is ..My heart is with the Pierce family…Rick Morris.”
