Anybody remove flush mounted 1199 and replace with Helix 10 but not flush mounted? I want to see if they have a panel to cover hole and mount one on a mount. Show me what you guys have done to replace an 1199.

I don’t have your exact situation, but I just replaced a 997 dash mount with a Lowrance HDS 12 using the Precision Sonar mount. That mount is SOLID.

I always replace my flush mounted graphs with a Sherm’s mount (It’s a plate that will cover the hole and mount your graph, it brings them out and up a little. You can see the whole screen and tilt it if there’s glare. Call or email Sherm’s Marine. http://www.shermsmarine.com/Inventory/Mounts

Had an 1199 flush mounted here. Went with Bassboat technologies. Its a dual here but the single would be the same. Had to take some measurements for him so he could cut a plate that would cover the hole. There wasnt alot of fiberglass let to screw too ,but there was enough to make it rock solid,very happy with it. Wasnt quite finished with install but here are some pics.

Bassaction that looks good. That’s what I was worried about was having enough glass to screw plate to.

Best thing to do is to pull it out and take a look. If Basscat installed it it was probably installed with that Euroflex they use. Use a hair dryer around edges should pull right out. This is what it looked like when I pulled mine out.
