I was told the reason is the new Helixs are deeper than the older units so will not fit the dash. I just got my Helixs in yesterday and they are much deeper than the 1100s I have now.

I have a 2011 Puma FTD with a 898 in the dash. I am thinking of replacing it with a Helix 9 will it fit? Last edited by basscatpuma3 on February 24th, 2016, 10:27 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Id get a 10 just cause the picture is larger and I believe the case is the same size. I have 2 10s and both have been very good units and an upgrade over the previous 8s 9s and 11s

The pixel count is much higher on the 10 giving you much better resolution than the 9.

Just mounted the 9 on my Classic at the helm , and moved the 7 to the bow . — Both are D/I units . — The resolution on the 7 was amazing , but as yet Ive not gotten the chance to use the 9 . — Looking forward to it though . — For an old fart such as myself , if the resolution gets much better , Id swear I was watchin TV . — Hoss

Dont have the Helix 9 at the. Ow but have at console and love it. Have the 998 at bow and wanting to upgrade to the Helix 9 or bigger. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
