Hi there fellow Bass Cat owners, we have just purchased a 1996 Pantera II Bass Cat and are very excited. Will have it out on the water this weekend! it is in great condition and looks a much newer boat than its year model. My understanding is that it was bought to Australia and sat in a shed for sometime, the guy I purchased it from got it on the water for the first time in Australia and he has only used it 3 times in 2 years.It has a 200HP yamaha V6 dual console.

There are a few of those older Pantera II models down there. We know of one that got off loaded there which was a yacht dingy. Imagine a Pantera II as a yacht dingy with a 200 engine. Welcome Aussiecat. My Wife was offered the opportunity to work over there (with her family) for 3 years about 6 years ago when I had just left the Marines and became a LEO. I truly wish we would have gone to Australia. One of a few places I still wish to visit.

That would be your security system. I cant give you specifics on the wiring but that lets you know when your friends are trying to check out your HOT baits….

I dont want to disagree but I think the blue things might be the mercury switches for the compartment lights. They act as both or either as they are a mercury filled switch. The mercury activates the contact for either or lights and security system. BCB

all very interesting would they have a central switch and where would I find it?
