I hope the lake is not turning over. I fished Truman Lake last week and it was tough. I think the lake is starting to turn.Fish near relase areas so the kids can have a higher probability of catching some fish.We caught fish on shaky head and spinner bait. Both should be easy for kids to fish. The big fish bite was from spinner bait on steep wind blown banks half way back in the cove arms. If it is super tough, cast into the wind if you got some wind, and count down and then give the spinner bait a sharp snap and retrive back. I ran into it by accident when I casted into the wind and got a good birds nest. I put the boat somewhat close to the bank and we parallel casted up the bank and brought it back to the boat. The fish were suspended at least 6-10 ft off the bank and probably sitting 4-6 ft deep.I had one sow wrap rapp up me up around a stump and broke my spinner bait in two.I hope it will not be a grinder for the kids. You got to do wierd things when it is bad bad.
