2009 P-II. I ran out of gas yesterday. Looked at Fuel button on the panel and verified I was on R tank. Verified with smartcraft gauge and was on 89%.Checked primer bulb and it was empty, tried to pump it up – no luck.Re-checked panel (Fuel) to make sure I was on “R” tank (rear 10 gallon tank). Check.Tried to pump bulb again – nothing. I switched over to primary tank (L on fuel button) and it showed empty. Tried to pump bulb – nothing.Switched back over to R tank, pumped bulb – nothing. Then I manually switched over to the R tank using the lever just in front of the outboard.Pumped bulb and it started firming up. Started right up.Ive switched between the two tanks several times (using the left/right switch on the panel). After switching you can see the gas level go down on the smartcraft gauge as you run the boat. Why would the gas flow not switch from L to R?One thing I have noticed. When I first turn the boat on , the L/R button shows L each time I fire it up (which is how I ran out of gas). Im wondering if running the tank empty had anything to do with not switching over to the R tank. Vacuum? Thanks for the help!FletchFISH ON!
