Help Needed with Compartment Lights

I have been working on the compartment lights on my 06 puma. I have got all of them working except the passenger side rod box. Can some one tell me what might be the problem with those light? The rod box lights do not have a ground wire attached to the lid like on the other compartments. Thanks in advance for the help.

the ground wire is attached to the hinge screws under the deck. just feel around underneath, and may just need to tighten the nuts. Pete

There should be a potted mercury switch in that box fastened to the seat lid. You can touch those wires to test the lights or use a voltmeter to verify you have power there. There is no ground as the lid is not aluminum.

I was having issues with ALL the lights, and I thought there was a wire attached to all the compartment hinges. I tightened the bolts up and they started working again!!

Not on the under seat storages on some models.
