Help with backup lights please

I have a 2004 pantera iv,I took the original backup light off trailer and replaced it with 2 of the new style led lights.i soldered both black wires to the plug that was on the original light,and put ring terminals on the white wires and put them on the mounting bolts like the original.the lights dont work-any help would be appreciated.thank you!

I was wondering if painting the hole I drilled for the second light would interfere with the ground?

They may be wired backwards. Try reversing the positive and negtive into the lights from where you have them.

In reference to the above comment: your old, incandescent bulbs are not polarity sensitive. Current will flow through them in either direction. The LEDs are polarity sensitive; wired in reverse polarity they will not function. Hope this helps.
