help with prop

I tried a tempest plus and loved it, but in my search to buy one Ive found some that are cheaper. For example, mirage, laser II, and quicksilver. My question is are those three as good a prop as the tempest, Ive never heard a bad word about a tempest, but I have on some of the ones listed, although on some I havent heard anything. Any suggestions would be appriciated.

Get a Tempest or Trophy. It will be worth the money you pay. As you said, “when I borrowed my friends it was like having another motor”. Laser II – old design Mercury prop, popular in the late 80s / early 90s. Mirage – see more of these on I/Os Quicksilver – nothing special

Phil, thanks for the advice Ill do that. I havent tried a trophy, but my friend said if I get one of them to get a 24 pitch. Or do I step down to a 22? Thanks again for the advice.

On this combo we like a 23″, though a 22″ might be better on this age of rig. They gain weight as they age and it would rob RPMs which makes the difference.

Ill take this advice and use it. I have another friend who has a 22″ trophy, maybe hell let me try it before I spend all my money. Thanks for everything, and God bless.
