I have a 98 pantera 3 with the bp 101 dash, I can not get the fuel, or the compass, or the trim on the dash to read anything. Plus I have a marineer 200 optimax on the boat, I just bought this boat, and the alarm sensor went off, on the left side of the dash the temp. sensor was flashing, but on the right side of the dash, the sensor was reading oil. I checked the oil, resivor and both had oil, and the motor was peeing a steady stream. Any ideas of what might be happening would be great.

You need to visit the BP dash manual PDF on the home page drop down menus. Many items are a learning curve. 1. The flashing should go off when you turn the key on for the oil, and this serves as temp and water also. 2. The compass may be faulty, and disconnected. these were prior to the popularity of GPS units, and they are too costly to repair in comparison. Unplug the Compass if it is faulty. 3. The trim gauge is either a disconnected ground, which is isolated, or a ground that is not isolated, as the factory ground has to be disconnected. It could also be a faulty trim sensor, which is the most common. 4. The fuel is probably a faulty fuel sending unit, or usually on a 98 it is the top capsules (plastic gauge) on top of the tank itself. Hope this helps! BCB

on the fuel if one part was bad would that cause neither tank to register?

No, though you could have two faulty bubbles. It could be the grounds also. BCB

They can be replaced easily, and we are unsure of the cost. Parts may be able to help you on that one. BCB
