Hideaway Harbor BCB dealer!!

I was fishing a club tournament last Saturday, while making a run my Optimax all the sudden started running bad then died. I took the cowling off to see the pulley shaft on my compressor had snapped. So I thought about fixing it myself but decided to take to the closest BCB dealer which is Hideaway Harbor in Tuscaloosa, Al. That was on Monday night. Today Clint (the tech) called me and told me to come get my boat it was ready. I show up to get it and he had called Merc and gotten them to cover all the parts and it only costed me 180 bucks even though my warranty ran out in August. And had it fixed in three days!! Now thats great service from them and Mercury!! I dont think my closest Merc dealer wouldve even took time to call, glad I drove that extra 60 miles!!

Glad they got you fixed up. You considered buying an extended Merc warranty?

A little Bama, but havent checked any prices. From my experience with extended warranty on autos is they are pretty pricey and youve really got to watch what you buy with aftermarket companies.

Thanks Tom, now I can take the power pole off hold that we talked about the other day.Oh I forgot to mention that they were rigging out a new kitty someone had just bought. So hopefully well have another BCB owner in the area.

The folks at Hideaway are fantastic. Bought a PII from them 1/26/11. On the way home, one of the trailer tires blew. Took the tire to the local Cooper dealer. Cooper dealer would not replace tire under warranty as the inner bead of the tire was damaged during mounting. Called Darlene Sellers (one of the owners). Got an email from her a little later that morning to go pick up my tire. Hideaway covered the tire. Hope BassCat reimburses her. Anyway, Hideaway is a top notch outfit.CarltonBCB Added: Actually this incident on the Cooper bead is in a short tire number sequence. Good to hear about Hideaway Service. Needing a place in SW Ala to get the big Merc serviced on our Kitty:-). Sounds like we will be heading to Hideaway when we need service
