I think Im finally learning how to drive my 02 P3/200 Opti after a season and a half of ownership. Mind you, I only get it out about twice a month and I just got gps added this spring. Ive ran 2 different 25 trophy+ props, and I hit the rev limiter for the first time on the “better” one while hitting a best so far 72 gps. Ive been thinking of trying on a 26 trophy for size to see if I can get another 2-3 mph out of her. Is this a bad idea or unrealsitc expectation? Holeshot right now is great, shes up on plane in barely 3 seconds. I love driving this boat! thanks in advance.Last edited by BoBo on May 31st, 2008, 2:57 pm, edited 1 time in total.

You would be better off to send the 25P Trophy to Rich Boger. Id almost bet my house he could pick you up 2-3 MPH, holeshot, mid range, etc. He is the king of modifying Trophys. Google him and youll find his webpage.

You might be right. My “best” prop has been B&Bd by Marks of Indiana. Ive heard that reworked (cupped etc) Trophys are prone to crack or sling blades, which is why I thought of going to a 26 as opposed to having a 25 modified.

You might want to keep your 25 too. This winter I was running a 26 Trophy on my P-2 and it ran great. However, the last couple times with the temp hovering in the low 100s, it lost a few MPH. Im switching to my 25 Tempest for the summer.
