BC Family,2013 P2, Merc ProXS 200. I fished a wet tournament today. Parked in garage, opened all lockers to dry, plugged in NOCO. 3 hours later horn is buzzing. I did not have alarm on. horn just went off. I closed all lockers, tried to turn alarm on/off multiple times, nothing. I closed the breaker box…horn died. reset breaker horn back on. Tried all combinations to turn the horn off to no avail. Had to remove horn and disconnect to shut it up. Any suggestions to a solution? gotta head out in the am and hoping the disconnected horn and the root cause will not cause any issues on the water tomorrow. Please help, thanks BCB Family.D.

I had some issue after alot of moisture as well. My problem was at the block at the back of the boat. It was simply a bad connection. Specifically a ground issue!!

The ATen dashes are the most dependable unit Bass Cat has ever had overall. More successful than switches or BP dashes in most aspects. More successful than switches in that they were more moisture reliable, had internal circuit protection and eliminated breakers. The only thing that makes them more dependable than the BP 101 dash is the ability to tech, and eliminate issues. The BP 101B dash is the absolute best overall dash assembly we ever installed. Though people understanding it were the largest challenges. The BP 100 series was good, though had connection and other challenges for those not trained. We always go through dashes as they seem to get clumped into batches of issues. When reality is there are over 10,000 ATen dashes in operation and they have been extremely successful.

I was able to disconnect the wiring harness and reconnect, this stopped the horn constantly sounding. However when the wires move (either while securing the harness to the A10 or wiggling them) the horn will sound on the movement. Seems I have either moisture in the horn wires or a bad connection/short. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for either the harness or A10 to help me point out which wires are specific to the horn? seems like the bilge/aerator/lights/recirc/etc all work fine…just the horn. Maybe the A1o is fine just a wiring short. Thanks for any help identifying the horn wires.The bad one from the factory was (if I recall correctly) part of a batch that had an issue and was corrected by the dealership as soon as identified… So it is 5 yrs old now and this is the first issue with it. Seems like it has been raining/cold everytime my boat hits the water this year so moisture can definitely cause electrical issues. Just replaced the starting battery and TM batteries after 5 yrs on the originals, cant complain on getting 5 yrs service.

Anyone with an A10 wiring diagram indicating which wires are for the horn? Thanks.

What about putting a little di-electric grease on the plug before connecting to help keep the moisture out.
