2011 Puma with the fancy horn. It has slowly gotten softer, and now you can barely hear it.Anyone else have one go out, or is there some trick to make it louder?

My horn is non functional too. Have a 00 Cougar that I bought used almost 2 yrs ago. Well kept boat, just one issue…the horn never worked. After some research, I found the horn is missing/removed from behind the grill. Guessing the prior owner had the same issue. I am looking for a replacement now! Have seen the ones in the BCB store, but havent bought one yet. Any sugestions on a good horn, that will not break the bank?

That horn in the bc store is the one in my boat. $17 isnt too bad for a horn.

I ordered a new one…..I just didnt know if its a common problem because I dont want to keep ordering them. If they are unreliable, Ill find a different brand. Howd you know I work at Hooters?Last edited by Guest on October 24th, 2012, 1:10 am, edited 1 time in total.

Mine started to act up and I pulled it out and reset the connections and it has worked ever since. Might give that a try….GeorgeGeorge

Sometimes retuning them helps.
