Hotfoot

i have a 06 sabre with a hotfoot it is mounted to a plate that holds it off the floor so i half to lift my foot up an put it on it can i take it off the mount an just mount it to the floor.

Mine was already installed when I got my boat but doesnt look to hard, they disconnected the hand cable from the engine curled it and left in the rear bilge area then hooked up the hot foot to the engine. Check out these I think they are cool and will allow you to place your hot foot straight, mine on a angle because you have to watch where you put the screws for mounting cant be too close to the ridge with these you can mount straight and screw the plate down to the floor away from the ridge. http//bbcboards.zeroforum.com/zerothread?id=7148

It isnt tough to do but if you have a DFI motor there are throttle position sensors that can cause a problem for the weekend mechanic. I did 2 on EFIs with no problem but the first one I did on a DFI for a buddy the TPS kept erroring and he had to take it in to get the shop to adjust it. Just my experience. Judd Lasiter

The geometry of the flat location will not allow you to have room under the console for it. That is why it is mounted on the plate. BCB
