I was looking forward to going to the show tomorrow, but unfortunately my trip to Houston was canceled. I havent been to Houstons show since I moved from there in 98. I guess Ill try again next year.
As George said, Mark Chestnut visited the Bowden Marine booth at the Houston Show today. He signed autographs and visited for a while. Thanks for coming by George and it was nice to meet you. Richard sorry your trip was cancelled, maybe next year. I will post a few pictures a little later. If any of you local guys havent made it out to the show yet and would like to come out, the show runs through Sunday the 13th. WOW!!! That FTD is sweet!!DESERTDWELLER.COM “GET YOUR BASS IN THE BOAT”
I was at the Houston Boat show Saturday also. Bowden had some nice rigs there. I have been going to the Houston boat show every year since the 80s. It has always been a good show. I know allot of the guys that are working the various booths there from tournaments or just traveling in the same circles. I always think it is funny how some of these tournament fisherman change boat brands like I change my socks and what ever boat they are with at the time is always the best boat at the show. And the boat they were running last year is now junk. These guys kill me. If John Q public knew the games the guys with the fancy shirts play they would not listen to much they had to say. I can also say that the guys there representing BCB are a class act. Seems like there is always the same frendly faces in the BCB booth. I think Phil is some kind of permanent fixture there. These guys are loyal to BCB and have something that is lacking in these days of cut throat sponsorship. It is called integrity. It is that same integrity and loalty that BCB has tword the BCB owners, that was a deciding factor for myself owning a BCB. You guys keep up the good work.
Great pics. Of course it makes me bummed even more that I couldnt follow through w/ my Houston trip. I bought my first bass boat (93 PII) from one of the team guys I met at my first Houston Boat show back in 95. Although I have ridden and fished out of many different brands before and since, Ive never owned anything but a BassCat. I anticipate my next bass boat being a BassCat too (maybe one of the first new Jaguars if/when they reintroduce the Jag).
I can only hope that Im a permanent fixture w/ BCB. I really appreciate them allowing me to fill the role that I play. Secondly. I have the support of the best wrench in the area in William Bowden. Theres not much integrity and loyalty these days, but that is one thing youll always have by owning a Bass Cat Boat! Good to see some of you and hope to see others the rest of the week!
Man that FTD is SWEET… Those wheels kill me.. Do you have to mod the trailer to fit the 20s ? What does a set of those run? Prob like $2k. ? Anyway, you roll up to the lake in that rig, you had better be able to back it up with fish
PHIL, if you are not a permanent fixture at BCB, then RICK would be out also. Behind RICK, you are MR. BCB, keep up the good work , we all appreciate your input!!! SAMBAYOU BANDIT
Pics we need pics!
Bama96 I will be back at the show on Thursday or Friday night. If Phil doesnt have any pics up by then, Ill take some and post them. Joe Murray
