I agree it is embarrasing but yall also have something to be proud of. The officers that saw the problem took care of business and went after the former officer and he is now charged and awaiting court. I hate to see these stories because it gives law enforcement a black eye. I have over 21yrs in the business and can honestly say that I would go after a dirty officer faster than anyone else because I have worked hard and a long time for my reputation and plan on keeping it!!!!!!!! Hate the situation but salute the officers involved with building the case and making the arrest!!!!!!! It would have been easy to forget about it but they did what was right.. So be happy that men with integrity work in your community. Just my thoughts and looking at the big picture……….
