Well, I just spent 3 days completely detailing the Jag. I crawled under it today to wax the hull, my last step, and found this. Good thing I was lying down. Hoping BCBs and or someone will more knowledge than I, will comment. I pushed on the area pretty hard and it seems solid. Thats take it to a pro IMO. high abuse area at risk for large scale jacketing if not done right.

It looks reasonably solid and resealing it with light glass then gelcoat ing the exterior should work out things fine.

I dont know exactly what happened. I have beached the boat a few times and dropped my partner off on the ramp when the lakes were so low there was not dock. I assumed my Hambys keel guard was protecting me, but it isnt. It doesnt go back far enough. Im guessing years of assuming the Hambys was doing its job caught up with me. Who knows. Britt

That does look like a well done job. The damage extended back behind the Hamby and it’s one of those things where the Hamby doesn’t cover the hull, just the front keel. BCB

I had a local professional do it. They were able to work me in so quick because I already had some matching gelcoat for my hull! I thought it looked amazing. Very glad I had a professional do it. The repair guy was shocked I wasnt taking on water.Britt
