Not Mega, but my SI transducer is just inside the right lower jackplate extension on the transom. Its below the side sponsons and has a clear view to the sides and down. Of course the 2D transducer is epoxied inside the bilge. Image is fantastic. I fish a lot of stumpy waters and havent had any issues at all that could break it. I took a look at all the mounting options myself and most end up costing a ton of money. This way cost nothing in additional hardware and has worked great.
