Need some help and advice – My HB SI transducer broke off yesterday with no apparent reason , the lake was a little rough but nothing crazy. I noticed the SI couldnt get a reading so I switched to the other transducer and went on ,when I got out the water the transducer was gone with just the wire hanging and the plastic bracket was broken. My boat is only a year old and the HB was put on at the BCB factory.The transducer was mounted directly on the transom under the motor. Is this a design flaw or was it mounted in the wrong place ? I am leary to replace because it looks like it may happen again , I liked the SI but Im sorry I spent the extra money now. Also how difficult is it to replace?
