You can connect your power and ground right to the existing 10g wire bass cat runs to the bow from the factory that your existing electronics is already hooked up to! Just cut out the old butt connections and use new ones hooking up power and grounds together!
If you want you can buy in line fuse connections for each unit you are powering with 5amp fuses for each item your powering! As far as the shield wire goes you can either choose to leave it un connected or tie it together with the other ground wire! We have hooked them up both ways and not noticed any difference honestly
