Humminbird depth finder question

I have a 2010 p2. I have 2 788cs on it and want to put a 858 di on the bow with the transducer on the tm. Would like some input on this setup.

We are not fans of DI units as they tend to show inteference in some situations. If your upgrading go upgrade the dash some and convert a bit.

I have an 898 on the bow and as stated, there is interference on the side and down imaging whenever the TM is running.

I believe much of the interference issues has to do with the trolling motor itself on trolling motor installations. I could not get rid of the interference after trying everything when I had a motorguide however after switching over to a Fortrex all problems solved.

psj, not on DI sonar units. We have done more research on this topic than either trolling motor company and both brands are susceptible to issues equally as are both major sonar brands.

I was under the impression that Humminbird and MinnKota collaborate on their products since they are both Johnson Outdoors. I have always had good luck when pairing the two.
