Humminbird issue

Down here at the OI and put the boat lanes chip in the 1197 and she locked up. Cant restore defaults nothing, turns on and off thats it. This happened with an older unit and Cabelas was able to reload the software. Is there anything around here that would have the equipment. Called around and no one sells or services electronics that I could find. Thanks Pete

On that issue, I loaded boat lanes ( in shreveport) and I can see no differance in the chart. How are they supposed to be depicted???On the way tomorrow, try to leave a few fish unfound.Milton

Even though I have been running around the lake without it, I went ahead and ordered the chip also. Gonna put it in this afternoon and see if my trails are anywhere close. I know in the installation instrutions it says you may want to change some of the settings such as the color of the trails or from a dotted line to a solid line, etc. I did that on my Lowrance with creeks, roadbeds, etc on Toledo Bend. Each has its own color so as not to get confused. I got the chip for both Toledo Bend and Sam Rayburn. We had to download an update on a new SD card. Then it worked? I love spending thousands on these things. Hummingbird was great helping out.

steeler34….I had put my card in and then turned on my unit and nothing happened. Today I turned on the unit and then inserted the card and it asked me whether to download or not.
