I have a Hummingbird 997c on the console of my Cougar FTD. I put the boat in the water for the first time since last fall and the depth readings I keep getting are for like 997ft and 1345ft depending on which transducer I switch to. I tried to use both 2d sonar and side imaging both no reading as well. I also noticed that I m not getting any water temp. I also tried to restore the defaults and no change. Everything was working last fall when I put boat away. Just wondering if anyone can tell me where to start or have any ideas.
BCB is likely correct but If you left them in boat for winter go unplug them and plug them back in a couple times, you may not be getting full connection, happened to me, now I unplug everything including batteries for winter.
I tried unplugging it before I did that there was no temp on the display and the depth showed 1300ft. After unplugging it the temp showed on the display and the depth showed less then a foot which is what it normally displays in the garage. I wont be able to put in the lake for a couple days to know if it is working properly for sure. I will post the results after I do that Thank You for the help.
Ok so I got out on the water today and I now have depth and temp. However when I get up on plane I loose the depth. I think I want to replace the 2d transducer I just need to know which one to order from Hummingbird. If anyone can tell me that would be great. Thanks in advance.
