Guys, I had H2O Sportz put me on a Humminbird Interlink when I had my boat in for annual service last week. Does anyone out there have much experience with these? What are the best benefit of the unit etc.? My intention was to mark a structure or fishing spot as a waymarker when I see it on the console unit and then go up front and use the waymarker to stay on the spot. I havent had a chance to play with it yet. Any comments from an experienced user would be appreciated. Thanks, 2Sport

Not sure what kind of info youre looking for…but it does work! Ive got it on my BayCat.

That is how I use mine, mark it using the sidescan on the back. Then locate it with the front graph through the interlink. Its a good system, but HB could improve the gps speed and navigating back to the waypoint could use some improvements. Overall it works, I also like being able to see time on the front graph since its not a gps unit.

Say you side scan a rock pile 240 feet away, you see balls of bait fish all over it and larger fish all around them. After you are past the waypoint you just created turn off the big motor use the trolling motor and position yourself directly over the rock with out ever letting the fish know you are there. Its a tool you will never go without once you cash in on it!

Thanks guys. That is what I was hoping for. Now this honorary OFG just needs to learn how to use it. Hopefully I can get some practice time soon. Good fishin 2Sport
