Hey Guys, I have 2 electronics issues with my 2009 Cougar FTD.. The Humminbird 997si in the dash frequently looses depth and sonar.. When it happens, the side scan and gps are still operating fine, just trash and no depth on sonar views.. I have updated the firmware with no change. The tranducer mounting is secure and doesnt appear to be positioned such that it would trap air.. It gets really annoying when I am trying to drop a bouy on submerged structure and have to wait sometimes for several minutes before my sonar decides to cooperate.. Anyone have similar issues? Second issue is that the Vexilar Flasher has never worked since I bought the boat. The head unit powers up and spins and shows an inaccurate readout (same regardless of depth), and no combination of range / sensitivity will cause it to be rective to depth. I have traced out the Tranducer cable and all appear to be well seated in the connections.. Is this indicative of a bad transducer, or potentially bad seating of the transducer in the hull?Your help is appreciated.JT
