I am just about ready to take the leap and get on the Side Imaging Bandwagon… I have a couple of questions.Where are the SI Transducers being mounted at the factory?Best place for the SI Transducers for my Sabre FTD considering that I spend half my year in stump filled shallow water and heavy cover situations? Not expecting to use the SI much in these settings, but I dont want to risk damage…

Mine was mounted at the bottom of the jack plate by BCB.

I have the same problem of fishing a stump filled lake. Toledo Bend is loaded, and Im just afraid of having a transducer sticking out there exposed like that. I drilled and tapped the jackplate and used loc-tite on the threads. I placed tape on the drill bit to limit the depth so not to drill in the boat. I think I used #10 or #12 machine screws.
