About to change from Lowrence to Hummingbird. I am putting a SI transducer on transom. Only problem is where to mount it. Ive watched several videos on YouTube as where to put it but the underside of the transom does not look the same as the boats on those videos. Any advice as to where to put it would be helpful. If you could add some pics that would help too. Thanks in advance..

We would definitely put the SI transducer on a Transducer Shield and Saver. Eventually you will be replacing a $200 transducer if you dont. The labor savings alone are worth it.

I have mine mounted to the Slidemaster jack plate on the Transducer Shield as the side imaging is useless at speeds much higher than idle.

BCB put mine on the jackplate using the saver/shield. It is the best mount I have ever seen. And as stated, you dont use SI at on plane speeds.

Im guessing that BCB would have all the brackets and savers needed to mount to jackplate and to TM in the parts store???

They have them though they will have to get rigging to provide the information. This is one of those complicated assemblies that the parts staff will not know the part numbers required. BCB

Thats the way to mount it. Ive been over every treetop at Toledo Bend with mine and no issues at all.
