Im looking for input on the Detwilier or Atlas self-contained hydraulic jack plate. Does anyone have either on their boat? Looking positive/negative experiences. Im considering one for my 06 Sabre and I like the idea of the self-contained feature. Any information would be appreciated. Duane

I dont have one YET but most of the guys I know run Detwilier and have had no problems.

I will tell you I had a motor malfunction on my detweiler and they sent me a new motor no questions asked in 2 days.C.O.D. Jr. III

Ive got a 4 year old Detwilier with no issues thus far. Phil Addison can hook you up when you get ready.

Ive ran Detwiler since 1999. Only one problem………….2005 and it was due to a seal leak! That problem was with the design and has since been solved. My opinion is it is the strongest hydraulic jack plate on the market. Your transom is likely a 6 bolt pattern and Im not sure how easy it will be to get an Atlas with that bolt pattern. There are multiple switch options with a Detwiler as well. If you have specific questions, dont hesitate to ask.

ive got one of the older detwilers (boat is an 07) and BCB is currently building me a new 2011 Puma FTD and i was debating whether or not to swap that jackplate over or get a new one. Does the amount of setback make a big difference on these boats. I have not done a whole lot of research on Detwiler yet so i dont know what they offer but i know bobs offers anything from 4″ to 12″ but i could never see going past anything over 6 or 8 inches of setback

Call Phil Addison today and get a Detwiler with the Exacta Dial. Im on my second boat with this plate and love them. Phil will hook you up and the plate is the best Ive ever run. Impactfishing.com
